World Hijab 2024

World Hijab Day is celebrated every year on the 1st February. It is an annual event that aims to honour the Muslim women who choose to wear it, raises awareness about the importance of the hijab and challenges the stereotypes associated with those who wear it. 

Miya has spent the day with children teaching them about the Hijab and the importance it has. Our children enjoyed listening to their new story book called "Tasmeen's Blue Hijab", they tried on their very own hijab, made tie-dye designs and tried cultural foods. They also painted thier own hijab designs on paper.

This was a great learning experience for all children :)
